Autumn Raffle 2022

Thank you for your support of the Westgate Farmers Market!

This market season has been successful thanks to the tremendous support from our community! To keep that success going next season, the Westgate Farmers Market is hosting a raffle to benefit the market, and we hope you will participate! There will be three separate drawings, each with its own prize:

  • Pantry: An assortment of seasonal produce and pantry items including two bags of coffee, a bottle of olive oil, two BBQ sauces and a rub, pepper salt/powder, jams, and honey.

  • Turkey: A farm-raised turkey (approximately 20 lb.), a bottle of olive oil, and brine.

  • Wellness: An assortment of home and wellness goods including soap or lip balm, a $25 Bottoms Up gift card, a pack of designer greeting cards, a candle, bottle of matches, and wick trimmer, and cookies.

Raffle tickets are $5 and can be purchased during the markets on October 1 and 15 at the market information tent and online through our website. Winners will be announced on the final market of the season on Saturday, November 19. Prizes may be picked up or delivered to winners.

All prizes were generously donated by WFM vendors, including Women that Farm, Kerns Market Garden, Impossible Jams, Stache & Satchel, Papadea, Bodia, Verdigris Market Garden, Bottoms Up Coffee, Simply Vela Candle Co., Apis Fields Apiary, Deb’s Designer Cookies, Gator Bait BBQ Sauce, and Ohiyo. OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES AND INFORMATION

  • Sponsors. The raffle is sponsored by the Westgate Farmers Market (“WFM”). The WFM is a 501(c)(3) organization. All proceeds of the raffle benefit the WFM.

  • Eligibility. The raffle is open only to those who are eighteen (18) years of age as of October 1, 2022. There is no residency requirement. Employees and board members of the WFM, WFM vendors and their employees, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate. The raffle is subject to all applicable state and local laws and regulations.

  • Agreement to Rules. By participating, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein.

  • How to Enter. The WFM will operate three separate raffles, each with an associated prize. The raffles may only be entered by purchasing a ticket in person at the Market Information Tent during the Westgate Farmers Market, held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on October 1, 2022, and October 15, 2022, and located at 2925 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 or online at through the Westgate Farmers Market website. The cost of each raffle ticket is five U.S. dollars ($5.00). Tickets may be purchased using cash (in person only) or credit/debit card. Entrants must include their name and telephone number and/or email address on each ticket purchased. There is no limit to the number of tickets that may be purchased.

  • Prizes. There are three raffles, each with an associated prize. The first raffle prize is a turkey (weighing approximately twenty pounds), poultry brine, and olive oil. The second raffle prize is an assortment of pantry products. The third raffle is an assortment of home and wellness products.  No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsors’ discretion. The same individual may win all three raffles.  Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the WFM to use winner(s)’ name and/or likeness on its website and social media platforms, without further compensation.

  • Odds. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

  • Winner selection and notification. Winners of the raffles will be selected in a random drawing under supervision of the WFM. The drawing will take place on November 19, 2022. Winners will be notified by the WFM by telephone or email following the winner selection. The winner(s) will also be announced on the WFM’s social media platforms. If the winner(s) does not claim its prize within ten (10) days of notification, a substitute winner may be selected, by random drawing.

  • Prize delivery. Prizes may be picked up or will be delivered on November 19, or at a different date/time upon agreement by the Sponsor(s) and winner(s). Pick-up and/or delivery of prizes will be arranged by the Sponsor(s) and winner(s).

  • Personal information. By entering the raffle and providing your email address to the Sponsor(s), you agree to receive promotional and/or informational emails periodically from the sponsor(s). You can opt-out of receiving this communication by notifying the sponsor(s). The WFM will maintain all records related to entrants and prizes pursuant to state law.

  • Cancellation. The WFM reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend and/or cancel the raffle(s) at any time. If the raffle is suspended, the sponsor(s) may select the winner(s) from all entries received prior to suspension. If the raffle is cancelled and no prize will be awarded, entrants may receive a refund of the raffle ticket price upon request. Except for the event of cancellation, no refunds will be given.

  • Liability. By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the WFM, the WFM vendors, and any board members, affiliates, volunteers, or employees of the WFM, or WFM vendors, from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the raffle(s) and/or your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or portion thereof.
